Lifesavers are NOT kosher and/or halaal because it contains STEARIC ACID which is from either swine or cow.
You can the company to ask and they will confirm this information.

Kosher marshmallows at Trader Joe's
I tried these, and had them available at our Lag B'Omer bonfire. I can tell you they taste GREAT ! Far superior to every otehr kosher marshmallow that I have tasted. The tapioca gelling agent allows for melting to make perfect s'mores. They are a huge addition to the kosher pantry.

yom tov/shabbat friendly ovens
Here are the steps to take on your oven(assuming it's similar to mine) to enable Sabbath mode and disable the 12 hour shutoff.
1) Hold Bake + Broil at the same time until it SF is displayed.
2) Press Delay Time until you see No Shdn.
3) Press Start. The oven will return to normal
4) Hold Bake + Broil again until you see SF again.
5) Press Delay Time until you see SAbbAtH.
6) Press Start
7) You are now in Sabbath Mode. Press Bake, set your temp, and press start as you would expect in Sabbath mode.
Your oven will now stay on after 12 hours.
Here is the manual to follow if you want more details. The thing to remember is you are performing 2 operations. First turning off 12 hour shutoff, then setting Sabbath mode.

Absolutely the best wings and chicken and waffles I've ever tasted. When you walk into this place you are delighted by the visual display of Sports art, Sports memorabilia, State-of-the-art flat screen TVs and unbelievable architectural interior design decor. Pair that with a boutique style craft beer and winery section and gourmet food,... this is a recipe for success! You gotta have the curly fries and the steak sandwich. There is no short order cook here, this guy must have been trained by the best because this food is awesome. Great work to whoever thought of this! PS. Take a look at the Baseball bat art flag, totally cool. I hear it's a one of a kind piece and even George Steinbrenner couldn't get one back in his day.
Two Quick notes. 1- Pricing is superb value and 2- plenty of healthier options if you're not in the mood for the "real" stuff!!

Kosher kimchee
OK, good news . . . I wrote the following to Spice Jungle:
When I first discovered your site a couple of months ago, the description page of most of the individual spices contained the KSA kosher logo. However, now the logo seems to be gone, though each listing still says "kosher" in the "Additional Info" part of the listing. So, are the spices listed as kosher still supervised by the KSA agency? There are any number of spices I would not be able to purchase unless I knew they were reliably kosher.
By there way, I will be forwarding this information to the Kosher message board of the Chowhound website, where many kosher-keepers have expressed interest in some of the harder-to-find spices (gochugaru is an example of a specific one that has come up, with many kosher-keepers wanting to taste authentic kimchee).
Hoping that the spices are still kosher, and that it's just a website thing . . .

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding the Kosher logo. First, I would like to inform you that yes our products are certified Kosher. I have attached our certification for you to review. However, our certificate expires on June 30th and we are in the process of going through renewal with the Kosher Supervision of America (KSA). Placing the KSA logo on our products while our certification is expired constitutes an un-authorized use of the KSA symbol, which is a federally registered trademark. Therefore, we decided to prematurely remove the logo until we are re-certified. However, the products are still certified Kosher.

A & H reduced sodium and fat have 304mg of sodium. I had an extra pack left over from Father's Day in my freezer. They tasted good but I thought were a little smaller. The package of 7 is 12 oz as compared to the regular ones which is 14 oz per package of 7. So some of the reduction is due to size.

Abeles & Heymann Pastrami and Corned Beef at BJ's Wholesale
So, bad news. I bought the pastrami and it was terrible. It's amazing, they package it looking like it's normal sliced pastrami. Then you open the package, and find out that they took pieces the size of roast beef and just folded them over in the package (also note the line of cartilage running thru the middle) The same garbage I think I found in the Meal Mart stuff at Costco. I don't know how they get away with this and I certainly don't understand how they sell enough to continue carrying it. Needless to say I will not be buying it again. I've attached a photo.
