I, too, understand the problem. I also have a handicapped permit as I have a Meniere's type disease and outdoor walking is very difficult for me, especially when there are uneven and changing surfaces. I went to the first Long Island BBQ and did not anticipate the parking situation. Parking was in a nearby county park with no shuttle service. It was a walkable distance for the able bodied. We were fortunate to get a handicapped spot in the park , which put us closer to the shul, and I was able to get around holding on to my husband, who has a knee like Bagelman's. I have not been able to attend since as I had conflicting events but would try again next year. O
