(Washington, D.C. location) I would certainly eat at Rabbi Herzfeld's house and at his shul, so I can't think why I wouldn't trust a restaurant he supervises. Rabbi Herzfeld is quite well-known, and he is putting his reputation on the line when by supervising this restaurant. ( specialty vegan) The teudah is persuasive. http://www.thesoupergirl.com/how-it-works/faqs/#50 Perhaps someone on this list knows how widely accepted the 24-hour-surveilance camera is; to me it sounds like a sensible substitute for the mashgiach tamidi. Superior in some ways since a mashgiach can blink, but the camera doesn't.
I've been meaning to try Soupergirl, because I've heard good things. http://www.thesoupergirl.com/
