I am in Montreal now and after spending my first week here sick with stomach flu, I am starting to explore kosher options that involve more than applesauce and plain crackers.
I ate at Mozart on Queen Mary. It was better than average. I had a tasty lasagna ($16), which contained slices of eggplant & sweet pepper in addition to the usual ingredients. My friend had a falafel plate (about $13 as I recall), very elegantly presented and delicious. The café hafuch (cappuccino) left a lot to be desired however.
I also visited the IGA in Cavendish Mall, which lives up to what I had heard about having an extensive kosher section, including fresh meat and dairy. There is also a counter for prepared items like BBQ chicken, egg rolls, etc.
