takeout for shabbat in jerusalem

Yup, that's Marvad Haksamim. I would suggest choosing the dishes they know how to do really well - Sephardi specialties like bamya - and avoiding their take on classic Ashkenazi dishes they offer just because they think that's what customers want. And yes. cresyd, it's the same corner, and just across the street, from Roza. IMO, they were much much better in their original location, a tiny space on King George near Hamashabir. Maybe it's because a younger generation managing and cooking, maybe it's just memory playing tricks, but I've been to the Emek Refaim branch a few times and it was never good enough that I'd recommend it. Things were either over- or under-cooked and over- or under-spiced. Now we satisfy our Me'orav Yerushalmi and grilled chicken cravings at Sima's near Machane Yehuda.
