Sailrox: You're a thoughtful guest! You're right to stay away from food so I repeat my first post: Shekel is a sheltered workshop at 11 Yad Harutzim 02 6720 157/8 in Talpiot. Everything in the store is handmade by the clients, and the people helping you are also developmentally disabled. They have pillows, aprons (who doesn't need an apron?) towels and seasonal things and you are both gifting and helping people make money. Things are reasonable and cheap. If you want to go religious get a Havdalah candle. Not so religious a bath set. A quick only in Israel story: across the street and down the block is the Emanuel outlet: 6 Yad Harutzim (the last store in the alley) 671 9471. Sun-Thursday 8 -4:30 . They are my go to place for wedding gifts etc. A little high for Shabbat but you can get his Nitilat Yadaim towels. The last time I was in Shekel I was embarrassed because I had a huge order and they "lady" was taking forever to tie a bow (a slight drawback) when Emanuel himself walked in. We smiled and I'm thinking "how do I explain I'm not in his shop?" And he apparently understood because he said "I buy all my gifts here. I can't give anyone one of mine. But today I am here because Shekel does my packaging."
