I went looking for it last night, and found that Sizzle is what used to be Subsational, on 13th Ave between 40 and 41. I asked, and it's a change of management rather than just of name. Yes, Subsational on 13th Ave is gone; the one off Ave J has been gone for a while; it seems its popularity has died down. I assume the original on CI & P is still there, but I'm not rushing to check.
Anyway, the authentic KD fried chicken is indeed there, and it's good. They also had some interesting latkes; more pancakey, like they were made from a loose batter that you pour into the pan and it fills the bottom, rather than the kind that you drop spoonsful of into the pan and they stay where they are. They were good, too, at least for that sort of thing. Tons better than what VIP Grill calls a latke (my advice: don't bother).
