Your comment made me wonder if you are planning to cook this meal for kosher-observant guests. If you are, there is a lot more to kosher than just not serving meat and dairy at the same meal--I would check with the guests directly to see what would be acceptable to them. If you are just cooking Jewish-style foods for non-kosher observant guests, you really don't have to worry about including butter or other dairy products!
