It really was delicious. I packed all the leftover beef up per Bagelman's instructions. Unlike other experiences with butchers, when I order London broil from Grow and Behold every bite is perfect. It is the easiest way in the world to make a perfect Shabbat lunch.
I served it with a first course of green salad topped with crumbled KosherLambBacon bacon. (bacon was cooked ahead warmed on Sat morning on the blech wrapped in foil.) And with the main course I served a rice ring filed with warmed frozen baby peas, the rice ring was made by caramelizing onions and celery in olive oil, adding chopped red peppers until just slightly softened and packing into ring mold. I pour the peas into the ring of rice, it looks very pretty. Also room temp cooked asparagus. Everything was cooked on Thurs night., I raced home Friday on one wheel - This religion wasn't invented in a country where the sun sets at 4pm and everyone is part of a 2-career marriage.
The thing is, this was a great meal that I cooked on Thursday after work. Menus were different when women could be home cooking on Fridays.
