Susanna is basing her decision on the critique of the kosher food available in the Costco locations in the 2 specified counties, with her particular request for info on meat and chicken, NOT the bakery.
She qualified her bakery use by stating she usually serves pareve desserts (which are not generally baked in store by the warehouse clubs) but had tasted dairy cakes from BJs at a shul kiddush. They may be delicious, but it doesn't meet her needs in a 'wholesale' club in Connecticut.
Although it's less than 20 miles as the crow flies from Fairfield or New Haven County to Long Island, the CT Jewish population is far less and the same chains merchandise differently. Everyone appears to mean well when posting about what is available in their area, but when a poster has a specific question that is geography based, it might be better to start new threads, such as "Kosher food items available in BJ's."
