I don't know. I know I did make one convert, but not from that shalach monos -- another year, I gave one specific family a case of Noam gefilte fish jars, with a homentash in a sandwich bag taped to the side for the second food.
I've also used shalach monos to "evangelise" for Chuster brand soup mandlen. In my opinion they are so much better than the tiny ones from Israel that everyone uses, which often taste stale and/or rancid. And yet so many people aren't aware that there's a better alternative. Recently I've seen the same style of mandlen imported from Australia, on sale everywhere at $3 a bag, while the Chuster is about $2. (The Ozzie ones are slightly better in my opinion, but not enough better to justify the extra expense.)
