First, sadly some updates: Kitchen Table no longer exists and Holy Land is no longer kosher. Oakland has two koshers spots: Amba (vegetarian, pizza, and Israeli style dishes, excellent French Fries) and Oakland Kosher foods. The two famous vegetarian restaurants are indeed Milenium and Greens. If you are not comfortable eating out vegan or vegetarian, your best options are probably Mollie Stones in Marin where you can stock up on kosher items; or Trader Joe's They are pretty ubiquitous. If you get as far south as Berkeley there are a few other options to consider.
